Moving to Portland to be with family

Hello All:

I am moving to Portland, OR from Phoenix, AZ in October. I am 36 years old and my fiancé and I have been together for 7 years. I am an Office Manager/Bookkeeper with 13 years of Accounting Experience and 5 years of Office Management experience. My fiancé is moving there because of his job and I have family there. A sister, a niece, and two nephews. I will be looking for full time work and am looking to make between 13-15 an hour.

I love Portland and have visited/lived there before. It is a wonderful place with wonderful people. We are excited about the move but a little apprehensive as well, with the economy being as bad as it is all over the US. I was wondering if anyone would have work for me or have any advice about the move. We will have money saved to rent a place and we both have cars so I can work where ever I need to.

Please let me know. My sister says things are getting better, we are looking forward to it. If necessary I can post my resume here as well to give you a better idea of the skills I have.
